MEET OUR TEAM
Manny Provenzano
Manny Provenzano is the Lead Pastor of Current Church. He was called into ministry from the business world and considers it a privilege to walk alongside a community that pursues Jesus together. One of the greatest honors of his life has been planting Current Church alongside a committed and faithful team. Manny is passionate about discipleship and helping people live out their faith in everyday life, not just on Sundays.
He holds a master’s degree in ministerial leadership from Southeastern University and an undergraduate degree in finance, which influences the way he leads and teaches.
Manny and his wife, Ashley, are raising their three young kids, Lennon, Cora, and Rory. Life at home is busy and full. When he’s not at church, Manny enjoys coaching soccer and being with his family.
Judah Crowder
Judah Crowder serves as the Worship and Teaching Pastor of Current Church. He is passionate about leading people in worship and teaching Scripture in a way that helps believers grow in their faith and live out the mission of the gospel. Judah holds a Master of Divinity from Southeastern University and is committed to helping the church function as an Ephesians 4 community—equipping believers for the work of evangelism and helping people look a little more like Jesus today than they were yesterday. Planting Current Church alongside a committed team has been one of the greatest privileges of his life.
When he’s not serving at church, Judah spends much of his time outdoors. He enjoys bowhunting, long-range precision shooting, and riding motorcycles. Whether in the woods, on the range, or serving the church, he enjoys challenges that require focus, discipline, and perseverance.
Jonah Crowder
Serving as Creative Pastor of Current Church, Jonah Crowder combines his passion for music and technology to promote meaningful and innovative worship experiences.
With a life of service in the church, a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and a master’s degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, Jonah brings a rich blend of experience and education to his creative endeavors.
He enjoys music production, videography, randomly bursting into song, and sneaking movie lines into everyday conversations.
Elisabeth Fosnough
Elisabeth serves as Children's Pastor of Current Kids. Helping children grow a personal relationship with Jesus is her favorite thing to do! You can often find her in kids' church with a ukulele in one hand and a puppet in the other, bringing energy and creativity to every lesson.
In addition to the fun, Elisabeth brings a blend of experience and education to ministry through a bachelor's degree in children, youth, and family ministries; a Master of Divinity from Southeastern University; and a background overseeing children's ministries ranging from intimate gatherings to multi-campus international ministries. Elisabeth is blessed to do ministry with her husband, Nate, an attorney on the weekdays but a Current Kids leader on the weekends.
OUR PURPOSE
Current Church is a Spirit-led movement committed to strengthening and empowering believers to build God’s kingdom and stand firm on His Word. Like the builders in Nehemiah 4, we’re called to both build and battle—working with purpose and standing in truth as God’s Spirit flows through us to bring hope and transformation. We exist, united in worship, to strengthen families and shape disciples who reflect the love and truth of Jesus wherever they go. If you’re looking for a church that’s real, rooted in Scripture, and ready to serve, this is it.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
-
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. God the Son, Jesus Christ, became flesh, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice, rose from the grave, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return for the Church in power and glory. God the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers. We affirm the present and orderly ministry of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church today. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1,14; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
-
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God and placed in a sinless paradise. Because of disobedience, sin entered the world, and all people have inherited a fallen nature. Because of this, we are separated from God and unable to save ourselves. Yet, God in His love provides salvation through Jesus Christ, restoring us to Himself. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12)
-
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Church is called to worship God, grow in faith, and serve one another in love. The local Church exists to strengthen believers, equip them for ministry in daily life, encourage and empower believers to live a life of sanctification, and proclaim the gospel to the world. The Church ministers to the congregation, and the congregation is called to minister to the world—living lives of sanctification that create opportunities to share Christ in and through daily life. (Ephesians 4:11–13; Hebrews 10:24–25; Matthew 28:19–20)
-
We believe that God calls His people to live holy and Spirit-empowered lives, demonstrating love, integrity, and obedience to Christ in every area. By the Spirit’s power, believers grow in sanctification and bear fruit for God’s glory. (Galatians 5:22–25; 1 Peter 1:15–16; Romans 12:1–2)
-
We believe prayer is a critical aspect of the Christian’s walk with God. Prayer is communication with God, and it is both a scriptural command and an expectation for the life of the believer. Jesus models this for the Church in The Lord’s Prayer. Thereby, we understand that through prayer, we bring our praise and adoration, surrender to God’s will, present our supplications before him, confess our sins, intercede for relationships, seek His guidance, and ask for His protection. Additionally, and in keeping with the commands of scripture, we understand prayer to be the process by which we ask God to heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, and combat fear and anxiety. Prayer is meant to be engaged continually and with great devotion. (Matthew 6:9-13; 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18; Colossians 4:2; James 1:5; James 5:14; Ephesians 6:18; Philippians 4:6)
-
We believe that God created humanity in His image as male and female—distinct yet equal in value, dignity, and worth. Gender is assigned and determined by God and is not subject to personal choice or cultural definition. God calls each person to live in alignment with His created Intent.
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God, joining one biological male and one biological female in a lifelong union. This covenant reflects the relationship between Christ and His Church. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God, designed to be expressed and enjoyed only within the bounds of marriage. Any sexual activity outside this covenant is contrary to God’s design and purpose for humanity. In our culture today, many alternative expressions of sexuality are often promoted as acceptable or normal. We welcome every person with love and compassion, including those who may engage in alternate lifestyles, but we cannot affirm or condone what God’s Word defines as sin. Our desire is to lead people toward freedom through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that identity is found in Christ alone, not in sexual desires or impulses, and that by the truth of Scripture and the power of the Holy Spirit, every person can walk in holiness and transformation. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:31–32; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11)
-
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and inerrant Word of God. They are the final authority for faith and life. By reading and applying the Bible, we learn how to live a life that honors God and reflects His will. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105)
-
We believe that all people are sinners in need of salvation, which is a gift of God’s grace received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. We are saved only by grace through faith. This gift is not earned by works, but when we understand the weight of our sin and the immeasurable gift of salvation, we are compelled to live a life aligned with God’s will. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 3:5)
-
We believe Jesus instituted two ordinances for the Church: Water Baptism, as an outward testimony of inner faith in Christ, and Communion (the Lord’s Supper), as a remembrance of His sacrifice and a proclamation of His death until He returns. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
-
We believe in the personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will bring ultimate justice, resurrect the dead, and establish His eternal kingdom. Believers will spend eternity with God in heaven, while those who reject Christ will face eternal punishment. (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21:1–4; Matthew 25:31–46)
-
We believe that God created humanity with the capacity and responsibility to make moral and spiritual choices. Though the fall rendered humankind sinful and incapable of saving itself, God, through His prevenient grace, restores the ability to respond to His invitation of salvation. This grace is extended to all people through the work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts, draws, and enables belief without forcing it.
We affirm that salvation is entirely of God’s grace and offered freely through Jesus Christ, yet it must be personally received by faith. God’s sovereignty and human freedom work in perfect harmony—His foreknowledge encompasses human choice without negating it. In His love and justice, God calls all people to repentance and faith, desiring that none should perish but that all should come to eternal life through Jesus Christ. Each individual bears responsibility for responding to God’s gracious call. (Deuteronomy 30:19; Joshua 24:15; John 3:16; John 6:44; Acts 17:30–31; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 2:11; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 22:17)
